Carol Hart (Cruwys)
Inducted April 11th, 1997
Carol Hart (Cruwys) was born in Oshawa in 1963 and began her collegiate career at Durham in 1984 following many outstanding highschool achievements at Eastdale Collegiate. Carol made an instant impact in her first year as an exceptional two sport athlete. As a member of both the Basketball and Volleyball teams, she was named OCAA League All-Star in each and was the driving force behind DC's Division II Gold Medals in both sports that year.
Carol also led the OCAA Basketball League in scoring in 1984-85. her second year was her most memorable as she led the Lords to the OCAA Volleyball Division I and II Gold Medal Championships and a CCAA National Championship Bronze Medal in Burnaby, BC. Accolades also include Volleyball League All-Star selection, All-Canadian selection, the first time in DC history, and being named DC Female Athlete of the Year in 1985-86. After missing an entire year due to knee surgery, Carol showed her dedication and determination by returning to complete her studies and lead the Lords to an OCAA Bronze medal in Volleyball
