Harper named Durham College athlete of the week

OSHAWA, Ont. – Mike Harper (Oakville, Ont.) has been named the Durham College student-athlete of the week presented by Boston Pizza North Oshawa for the period ending Nov. 15.

Harper, a sport management major, led the team with five blocks in their 3-2 victory over the Canadore Panthers on Saturday in North Bay to improve to 5-0 this season. He also added three kills and four digs in the five-setter, plus had the final six serves for the Lords as they came back in the fifth set down 14-12 to win 16-14.

The men’s volleyball team will be back in action this Thursday as they host the Loyalist Lancers (2-4). First serve is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the CRWC.
