Adaptive Sports

Adaptive sports (parasports) are recreational or competitive sports for people with and without disabilities – adaptive sports use modifications of rules or equipment that allow for equitable participation in sport by people with disabilities.

Our goal is to provide students of all abilities with the opportunity to engage in adaptive sport programming. Whether you are interested in learning about adaptive sport, participating in learn-to-play or drop-in events or joining an adaptive intramural program, we encourage students of all interests, abilities and skills levels to participate.

Individuals who require supports for full access in our programs are encouraged to submit requests for accommodations to Campus Recreation. All requests will be coordinated with respect and in confidence.

SPORTS & ACTIVITIES

Campus Recreation can also provide support to members of the campus community looking to engage in adaptive sport programming, whether for academic purpose, professional development or general interest. Please contact campusrecreation@dc-ot.ca to book an adaptive sport event for your campus group.
