McGirr, a mechanical engineering student, stunned the crowd with his amazing serves last Thursday against Georgian in a 3-2 Lords victory. Leading 9-8 in set five, McGirr took control as he helped serve out the match, including a pair of service aces on the final points to win the set 15-8. He finished the night with 14 kills and seven aces.
 
The Lords are off to a great start and are sitting at a four-way tie for first place in the OCAA eastern division. After the break, the team will hit the road on December 29^th to play the Niagara Knights holiday invitational.
