Black, a human resources student, played a key role in three of the women's softball wins last week. On Tuesday at home she pitched a complete game shutout allowing only four hits and one walk over seven innings of work.
 
She followed that performance with another complete game victory on Friday night over the St. Clair Saints. Over seven innings she allowed one earned run on five hits and a walk. In the second game of the doubleheader she was credited as the winning pitcher after coming into the game in relief. She threw 1.2 innings, allowing one run on three hits as the Lords walked off the 4-3 game in the bottom of the seventh.
