Janssen, a biomedical engineering student, had a big night on Saturday as he tied former teammate Jeremy Hoekstra for sixth on the Durham College all-time kills leaderboard and passed Brad Van Hartingsveldt, who was seventh with 384 kills. He is also eighth all-time at Durham with 478 points. The Lords looked strong after losing the first set 26-24 to La Cité. After that they rolled through the Coyotes with sets of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-14. Janssen finished the game with a match-high 14 kills. Against Algonquin on Friday night he had eight kills in the straight-set victory.
 
This week the Lords basketball teams are home on Tuesday night to host the Seneca Sting, while the volleyball teams host the Georgian Grizzlies on Thursday night.
 
The Durham College athlete of the week awards are presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
