OSHAWA, Ont. – Bret Polfuss (Kitchener, Ont.) of the men’s volleyball team has been named the Durham College student-athlete of the week presented by Subway.
Polfuss, a business major, put in another solid performance for Durham on Sunday as the Lords decisively defeated the Canadore Panthers 3-0 in their final home game of the regular season. Polfuss lead the team with 11 kills, three aces and two blocks giving him a 16-point night. Additionally, he finished the game with one assist and five digs.
Both volleyball teams are now preparing for their final game of the regular season against Fleming on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
The Durham College athlete of the week awards are presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
