Durham College Athletics

OSHAWA, Ont. – Milinda Roblero (Pickering, Ont.) of the women's soccer and Brodie Harkness (Bowmanville, Ont.) of the baseball team have been named Durham College student-athletes of the week presented by Subway North Oshawa for the period ending October 15.
 
Harkness, a paramedic student, picked up a pair of wins last week for the Lords who locked up third in the OCAA and are awaiting who they will play at this week's championship hosted by St. Clair. On Tuesday night, he allowed three runs on seven hits, while striking out four in a complete game win over the George Brown Huskies. Harkness topped that performance on Saturday in Etobicoke when he allowed just one run off seven hits and a walk in a 2-1 win over the first-place Humber Hawks. He struck out eight in the victory, his fifth of the season. He won the pitcher's duel over Steven Hough, who is 1-2 with Harkness for the top ERA in the OCAA at 1.80 and 1.85 respectively.
 
Men's baseball finish their regular season on Tuesday night at home against the Seneca Sting. First pitch is 6 p.m. From there the Lords will head to the OCAA championship hosted by St. Clair on October 20-21.
