OSHAWA, Ont. – Tyler Krabi (Stouffville, Ont.) of the men’s volleyball team and Victoria Brody (Scarborough, Ont.) of the women’s basketball team have been named the Durham College student-athletes of the week for the period ending November 19.
Brody, a sport management student, had an all-around successful night on the court for the Lords in their 79-60 victory over the St. Lawrence Vikings. She scored a season-high 19 points, one point off her career-high of 20, while picking up six rebounds. She was 3-for-8 from behind the arc and 2-for-2 from the free throw line. Brody also had a game-high five steals, which she has only topped once before in her OCAA career, finishing with seven against Algonquin this season.
Basketball returns home for a pair of games as they host the George Brown Huskies on Tuesday night and St. Lawrence on Friday. Tip off for the women’s games is 6 p.m., with the men playing at 8 p.m.
The Durham College athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
