OSHAWA, Ont. – Allyson Terwillegar (Enniskillen, Ont.) of the women’s volleyball team and Emily Glendinning (Plattsville, Ont.) of the women’s basketball team have been named Durham College student-athletes of the week for the period ending January 28.
Glendinning, a first-year sport management student, dropped 19 points for Durham College in a dominant 90-57 victory at home over the Loyalist Lancers in their lone game of the week. She was 8-for-15 from the field, with an impressive 3-for-5 from three-point range. She also grabbed five boards, had six assists, got a block and matched her season-high of four steals.
This week all four teams are on the road as women’s basketball visits George Brown on Wednesday before travelling to Kingston on Friday to take on the St. Lawrence Vikings. Their next home game will be Tuesday, Feb. 6 against the Georgian Grizzlies.
The Durham College athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
