Joensen, an OTA/PTA major, led the women's volleyball team in each of their opening matches of 2019. In Friday's sweep of the Loyalist Lancers, she had a team-high 14 points with a season-high 12 kills and two blocks. Her kill total also matches her career-high set in November 2017 against the Seneca Sting. To cap off the week on the road, against the Canadore Panthers, Joensen led the Lords again with a team-high 11 kills and two aces.
