Lopez, a second-year entrepreneurship and small business major, was sensational at the plate for the Lords this past week as DC went 3-1 over a four-game road trip. In a doubleheader versus the Lambton Lions, Lopez went 4-for-8 over the two games, registering two stolen bases, four RBI, and four runs as the Lords won 11-4 and 18-2. Traveling to Windsor the next day to challenge the OCAA leading Saints, the Lords third baseman played a big role in handing St. Clair their first loss of the season. Winning 16-12 in Game 1 of the Saturday afternoon doubleheader, Lopez was 3-for-4 with a walk, one stolen base, three RBI, and three runs in the victory. Despite the Lords dropping the second contest in Windsor, the Donald A. Wilson grad added another two RBI and a run. Over the four games played this past week Lopez finished with seven hits, two walks, three stolen bases, eight runs, and nine RBI.
