Salter, a first-year nursing major, receives DC athlete of the week honours for the second time this fall after a stellar week saw her pitch a no-hitter alongside two crucial playoff matchups to help propel the Lords softball team to OCAA gold. Opening the week with the Lords regular season finale versus Mohawk this past Monday, the rookie pitcher delivered a five-inning no-hitter in the second game of a doubleheader, striking out nine of 16 Mountaineers batters face, while conceding just two walks in the dominant win. Morgan concluded her rookie season second in the province in total strikeouts with 68, while recording four wins. The Battersea native then followed that up with two wins at the OCAA championship, defeating the second seeded Humber Hawks and No. 1 seed St. Clair Saints in the same day to secure DC's berth into the gold medal game. Versus the Hawks, she pitched a complete seven inning gem, allowing just two earned runs on four walks and four hits, while striking out five. Salter immediately followed that up with a five inning outing against the Saints, giving up just three earned runs on seven hits and one walk, while striking out four.
