Norris and Kurhan named Durham College student-athletes of the week

OSHAWA, Ont. – Ryan Norris and Jade Kurhan have been named the Durham College student-athletes of the week presented by Boston Pizza - North Oshawa.

Ryan Norris, a biomedical engineering major from Oshawa, picked up his second win on the mound for the men’s baseball team in an 11-1 victory over the George Brown Huskies. Norris only allowed one run and four George Brown hits while striking out eight Husky batters. Norris has 16 strikeouts this season.

Jade Kurham, an occupational therapist assistant/physiotherapist assistant major from Oshawa, scored two goals in the Lords 2-2 draw against the nationally ranked Algonquin Thunder. The Lords are undefeated in six straight games heading into action this week.
