Janssen and Prytulka named student-athletes of the week
OSHAWA, Ont. – Erik Janssen (Hampton Ont.) and Jessica Prytulka (Kingston, Ont.) have been named the Durham College student-athletes of the week presented by Boston Pizza North Oshawa for the period ending Feb. 8.
Janssen, a biomedical engineering technology student, was literally THE "Beast of the East" on Friday night as he picked up a season-high 22 kills and 25 points in the Durham College men's volleyball team's 3-1 victory over Algonquin. He also added a service ace, two blocks and two digs against the Thunder. Durham College is now 17-0 on the season with their final game on Thursday, Feb. 12 at home against the Fleming Knights. First serve is 8 p.m. at the CRWC.
