OCAA Women's Volleyball
Durham College defeated 3-1 by Georgian College BARRIE, Ont. – The Durham College women's volleyball team is still looking for their second win of the regular season.
After winning their first match last Thursday at home, the Lords fell 3-1 to Georgian College on Friday.
The Grizzlies won the opening sets 25-20 and 25-22, forcing Durham to take the next set to continue the match.
They won by the largest margin, 25-18, but in the fourth set Georgian took it 25-21 to move to 3-1 on the season. The loss sends the Lords to 1-3 on the year.
Tess Newey led the Lords with nine kills, with Natalie chipping in seven of her own.
Jessica Broad and
Melissa Semeniuk each had three blocks.
Although Hannah Campbell had seven kills to lead the Grizzlies to victory, both Kelsey Buckley and Allison Marshall added six apiece.
