Lords advance to fourth straight OCAA softball gold medal game

KITCHENER, Ont. – The Durham College women's softball team has advanced to a fourth-straight OCAA championship on Saturday after a pair of victories.

As the second seed, the Lords faced the third-place Humber Hawks to open the OCAA women's softball championship presented by belairdirect. An eight-run second inning was enough for Durham College to advance to the championship semifinal as they held on for an 8-3 win.

In their final game of the day against the first-place St. Clair Saints the Lords scored early again, with three runs in the first two innings – eventually picking up a 4-1 victory.

Tomorrow's gold medal game will feature the winner of the bronze medal game between the Fanshawe Falcons and St. Clair Saints. The loser takes home bronze.
