SCARBOROUGH, Ont. – The Durham College men's volleyball team couldn't hold on for a victory as the Centennial Colts stormed back to win their home opener 3-2 over the Lords on Saturday.
Up 2-1 in the match, the Lords fell 25-18 in the fourth set and eventually were edged 16-14 in the fifth and deciding game.
Tyler Krabi (Stouffville, Ont.) finished with a team-high 23 points for the Lords from 14 kills, seven aces and two blocks.
Defensively
Lucas Pichl (Cobourg, Ont.) finished with a team-high three blocks and 12 digs. Oshawa's
Aaron Banga picked up 11 digs in the opening match of the season.
Durham College now has the week off as they prepare for the Algonquin Thunder for their home opener, which is also Durham Rebels Volleyball appreciation night. First serve is 6 p.m.
