DC lights up Condors in second game of doubleheader

OSHAWA, ON - Competing as the visitors on their own home field in a pair of make up games from previously rained out matches, the Durham College women's softball team split a Sunday evening doubleheader with Conestoga, falling 4-3 in Game 1 before winning 22-3 in Game 2.

Despite outhitting the Condors 11-4 in the opening game of the night, the Lords got themselves in trouble with three of Conestoga's four runs coming off Durham errors.

The Lords quickly cleaned up that play in Game 2 though, with 11 Lords batters recording an RBI in the win.

DC will play another doubleheader tomorrow evening to make up more previously rained out games, challenging the Mohawk Mountaineers at Durham Field as guests. First pitch in the final regular season games are set for 6 p.m.

• Three Lords players registered two hits in the opening contest, led by Ryleigh Easton (Bowmanville, ON) who was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Abi Suffel (Whitby, ON) who also went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Alexis Pereira (Newmarket, ON) who was 2-for-4 with a run.
Game 2
