Barrie, ON – The Durham Lords wasted no time on their trip to Barrie, defeating the Georgian Grizzlies in three sets (25-17; 25-16; 25-15).
Mia Hildebrandt (Winnipeg, MB) easily led the way in kills with twelve, while a trio of
Aislinn Pedersen (Hamilton, ON),
Katie Stewart (Gananoque, ON) and
Amanda Larsen (Toronto, ON) had four each.
Pedersen earned serving points through aces five times in the match, while
Jill Batsford (Kingston, ON) picked up 20 assists for her squad.
At the net, Larsen stood tall with a total of eight blocks sending the ball back over.
With their fourth win of the season, the Lords hold onto their spot at the top of the OCAA East, and will look to make it five at home against the George Brown Huskies on Saturday afternoon.
