Men's basketball win convincingly in Belleville

BELLEVILLE, Ont. - The Durham Lords put on a commanding display against the Loyalist Lancers, cruising to an 88-73 win at Loyalist College.

The Lords built their lead steadily through each quarter, establishing control by halftime and refusing to let up. A strong third-quarter showing of 25 points helped the Lords create a comfortable cushion, and they never looked back, leading by as much as 20 points in the fourth quarter.

Durham's offensive efforts were spearheaded by multiple players, highlighting the team's depth. Javade Marne led the charge with 17 points and four steals.

Miles Hall also contributed significantly, scoring 17 points and pulling down four rebounds while adding a pair of three-pointers to keep the pressure on Loyalist.

Jasean Elliott's well-rounded game was another highlight, as he scored 16 points on 7-for-9 shooting and grabbed four rebounds.

The Lords dominated the paint, outscoring Loyalist 58-32 in that area, which became a cornerstone of their success. Durham also capitalized on second-chance opportunities, securing 21 offensive rebounds that led to 18 second-chance points.

Glodi Kashala was a key figure in this area, hauling in nine rebounds, including four on the offensive glass. Kashala's presence in the paint, combined with Mark Stoop's nine rebounds, gave Durham a clear advantage on the boards.

Seneca come to town next on Tuesday, October 22 as the Lords play their home opener at 8:00 PM.
