OSHAWA, Ont. - In a thrilling contest, Durham College fought back to secure a 1-1 draw against the No. 1 ranked Algonquin Wolves on Saturday afternoon at Vaso's Field.
Despite being down a man for much of the second half, Durham showed resilience, with
Teagan Marks heading home the equalizer in the 89th minute from a corner kick taken by
Aidan Castillo.
Algonquin opened the scoring in the 74th minute when Jaeden Mercure found the back of the net. However, Durham remained determined, even after

Algonquin outshot Durham 14-11, with goalkeeper
Garrett Werner making five saves to keep the game within reach. The draw moves Algonquin to 4-1-1 on the season, tying them with Centennial at the top of the OCAA East Region. Durham is now 3-1-3, tied with Seneca for third place.
The Lords will next face the Centennial Colts in Scarborough on Wednesday at 8:15 p.m., a match-up with significant playoff implications.
