OSHAWA, Ont. - The men's basketball team put on an offensive clinic at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre CRWC, defeating the Loyalist Lancers 93-69 in an electrifying OCAA showdown.
Durham came out firing right off the hop, jumping to a commanding 25-17 lead in the first quarter. Caleb Carter's sharp shooting from beyond the arc set the tone early, contributing two three-pointers in the opening 10 minutes and a total of 14 points for the game.
The Lords' offensive success was largely built on their ability to score in the paint, amassing 54 points near the basket.
Jasean Elliott spearheaded this effort with a standout performance, contributing 12 points, seven rebounds, five steals and a pair of blocks. His defensive presence disrupted Loyalist's rhythm throughout the game.

After a sluggish second quarter, where Durham managed just 12 points, the team erupted in the third, scoring 34. Elliott was pivotal during this stretch, scoring 10 points and adding five assists.
The defence was equally impressive, forcing 17 turnovers and recording 11 steals. Durham's ability to convert those turnovers into 22 points was a key factor in their victory.
