OSHAWA, Ont. - Durham College is proud to host the inaugural Future Lords All-Star Games on Saturday, September 6 at Babcock Field.
The day is designed to celebrate youth baseball in the community, providing players with a fun and memorable experience. Participants will have the opportunity to play multiple positions, receive a special package, and enjoy a BBQ while a Durham College photographer captures the action.
Admission is free for players, coaches, and fans. Families attending are encouraged to bring a donation for the Durham College Student Association Food Bank. This on-campus service provides full-time students in need with non-perishable food items and hygiene products.
Babcock Field, located at the south end of Durham College's Oshawa campus, serves as the proud home of Durham's women's softball team, a program with 20 OCAA championships to its name. The facility recently underwent significant upgrades, and is named after long-time athletic director Ken Babcock.

This event highlights Durham College's ongoing commitment to supporting youth sport and fostering the next generation of student-athletes in the region.
The showcase will feature teams named in honour of Hall of Famers Jim Lutton and Sam Dempster, both of whom will be in attendance at select games.
Lutton has been a member of the Oshawa Legion Minor Baseball Association for decades. He has served as a coach, umpire, board member, and president. His unparalleled commitment to baseball has earned him a place in the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame, a field named after him at Lakeview Park, and an annual tournament which sees 9U players from across the province compete at the highest level.
Dempster was the head coach of the Durham College men's baseball program for 28 years until his retirement in 2020. He was inducted into the Durham College Sports Hall of Fame in 2023, and later welcomed to the OCAA Hall of Fame. Dempster annually took part in the MLB envoy program, touring throughout Africa and Europe with the goal of promoting and growing baseball worldwide. While coaching, he served as a scout for the New York Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers.
