Marty currently serves as pitching coach with the U22 East York Bulldogs and has also served in the same role with the U16 and U17 Toronto Mets. Prior to these roles he was a coach for the summer games with YSBA, spent 2 years with the Bantam and Minor Bantam teams in Richmond Hill, was head coach with the Minor Peewee squad in Barrie, and began his coaching career assisting his father in North York.
During his playing career, Marty competed with Missouri Valley College near Kansas City and Rend Lake College in Illinois. He was named to the all-conference team in his sophomore year at RLC. He also spent 5 seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the IBL where he won a league championship and was named pitcher of the year and a first team all-star. Locally, Marty played for Againcourt and North York.
Beyond the diamond he has coached hockey in Barrie (BMHA) for 4 seasons and currently hosts a podcast called the Sports Wrap-Up on the Firedup Network. Married to his wife Allison since 98', they have two children, Tyler and Taryn.
