Durham College Athletics

Stephanie Michalicka joined the Durham College women's soccer program as goalkeeper coach for the 2019 season.
 
Michalicka takes over for John Milton, who has been with both men's and women's programs for the past two years. This move allowed for a dedicated goalkeeper coach for both squads.
 
Head coach Alex Bianchi is looking forward to the addition of Michalicka, who was a competitive keeper when actively playing soccer. Coming from a soccer family, she started taking the game seriously when she was 10-years-old. At that time, she was coached by her mother Karen, who is an assistant coach now with the Lords. From 2000-03 Stephanie was part of the provincial program.
 
At 15-years-old she began coaching under her mentor Paul Nesbitt, who focused on the craft of coaching keepers. This will be her first experience coaching at this level.
