van Staalduinen joined the Lords coaching staff in 2016 with his most recent exprience as the OVA Region 4 - Technical Director and Durham Attack girls U-17 black team assistant coach during the 2015-16 season. His experience with Durham Attack also extends back to working with the girls U-16 black squad in 2014-15.
Alongside numerous other roles as a coach, van Staalduinen also worked at the collegiate level with the Trent Excalibur women's volleyball team as an assistant in 2011-12 and Wilfred Laurier Golden Hawks women's squad from 2007-11.
As a player he played left-side for the Durham College men's volleyball team from 2012-14 after time on the Trent Excalibur practice squad from 2011-12 and Kitchener-Waterloo Predators U-21 silver medal winning team in 2007-08.
