Durham College Athletics

OSHAWA, Ont. – Cassidy Nicholson-Clarke (Ajax, Ont.) of the women's volleyball team and Brandon Halliburton(Brampton, Ont.) of the men's basketball team have been named Durham College student-athletes of the week for the period ending January 21.
 
Nicholson-Clarke, a first-year middle, had a solid all-around game in Durham's lone match of the week. She helped lift the Lords to their 3-1 victory with eight kills, two aces and a match-high three blocks. Her eight kills were a season-high, while her three blocks were just short of her previous high of four.

This week is a big week for the Lords as the women's volleyball team will play four games in six days, starting with a home game on Tuesday night against the Georgian Grizzlies. Wednesday they travel to Scarborough to take on the Centennial Colts before hosting Algonquin on Saturday and La Cité on Sunday.

The Durham College athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
