Mason, a second-year general studies major, played a major role in the Lords season opening 4-0 victory over Fleming at Vaso's Field on Friday evening. Stepping into a leadership role, the centre back provided great defensive effort throughout all 90 minutes of the clean sheet effort, while helping quarterback a near complete new roster for DC. Mason was not limited to just being a factor in the Lords half of the pitch though, as he also added a goal off a corner kick, heading in the Lords third goal of the match in the 84th minute.
