Durham defeats Loyalist 3-0
 
OSHAWA, Ont. – Through three regular season games the Durham College men's volleyball team has yet to lose a set.
 
Thursday they won their third straight match of the campaign 3-0, this time over the Loyalist Lancers.
 
Matt McGirr and Jeremy Hoekstra were monsters offensively, picking up seven kills apiece to lead the team. Hoekstra also led the team in service aces, earning three in the match.
 
Mike Harper was their shutdown man, leading the Lords with three blocks.
 
On the other side of the net it was Ben Hoftyzer with 11 kills to lead Loyalist. Adam Strickland had six.
 
Durham dominated this match, winning the first set 25-15.
 
In the second set they won by a bigger spread, 25-10, prior to their match winning 25-16 third set.
