BARRIE, Ont. – The Durham College women's volleyball team will head into next week's OCAA championship on a win streak after capping off their regular season with a 3-0 defeat of the Georgian Grizzlies on Wednesday night in Barrie.
Allison Marshall (Orillia, Ont.) led Durham with 14 kills, four blocks and 10 digs in the win.
Jessica Broad (Courtice, Ont.) picked up nine kills, three aces, a block and nine digs, while
Lucia Kalmeyer (Oshawa, Ont.) added seven kills and three blocks. Setters
Megan Romain (Ajax, Ont.) and
Erinn Marshall (Orillia, Ont.) split time in the match with Romain picking up 19 assists, alongside Marshall's 13.
Brittany Coughlin's 11 kills and two blocks led Georgian, while Quinn McGregor added nine kills.
The first place Lords will now wait until the crossover matches are concluded for the final OCAA championship schedule to be set. Durham's first game at the tournament, hosted in North Bay, Ont. by the Canadore Panthers, will be played Thursday, Feb. 25.
