Women's volleyball to compete for OCAA bronze

NORTH BAY, Ont. - The No. 4 nationally ranked Durham Lords women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to the No. 15 Humber Hawks on Friday evening in North Bay, forcing DC into the bronze medal match after the semifinal loss. Set scores for the match were 25-15, 25-18, 25-16.

The Lords will look to earn their fourth provincial medal in six years, having previously captured two silver (2015, 2017) and a bronze (2019).

The Lords had won 25 consecutive matches leading up to the semifinal contest, with their last loss coming in October 2019 during an exhibition match with the other gold medal bound team Fanshawe Falcons.

The bronze medal match will pit the Lords against the St. Clair Saints, who fell in four sets to the aforementioned Falcons during the semifinal round. Durham defeated the Saints in two preseason contests earlier this season and will look to duplicate the successful results. First serve is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. with the game available on OCAA LIVE.
