OSHAWA, ON – The Durham Lords men's soccer team win their play-in game 6-2 over the Redeemer Royals to qualify for the 2022 OCAA Men's Soccer Championship.
The scoreboard did not show zeroes for very long as the Royals scored a goal in the first three minutes of the match to take the early lead. Half an hour in, Redeemer doubled their lead with a goal that saw the ball barely cross the goal line.

Not long after the second half begun, Christian Forteau (Ajax, ON) scored his first goal of the season to tie the match in the 50th minute. Five minutes later, Skylar Grey (Ajax, ON) scored his fourth of 2022 to give the Lords their first lead of the game.
Forteau scored his second of the afternoon in the 61st minute and Deandre Watkis (Ajax, ON) tied Wisdom and Grey at the top of the team in goals with his fourth of the year for a 5-2 lead.
In the dying minutes, Sean Allan (Whitby, ON) added one last goal to win 6-2 and clinch a spot in the provincial championship.
