Pye scores first half hat trick in 6-0 win

OSHAWA, ON – The Durham Lords women's soccer team played their final home match of the 2022 regular season, defeating the Loyalist Lancers 6-0.

Jaime Pye (Oshawa, ON) opened the scoring in the 21st minute, set up from Erika Bjorgum (Kingman, AB). Pye would put home her second goal of the game less than five minutes later, with Bjorgum picking up her second assist of the night.

Pye completed the first half hat trick in the 39th minute to place second in the OCAA in goals scored this season, one behind teammate Sage Thomas-Roberts (Toronto, ON).

Jessica Ferreira (Ajax, ON) scored her fourth goal of the season moments before halftime to give Durham a 4-0 lead through 45 minutes. Ferreira then scored her fifth of the season seven minutes into the second half for a five-goal lead.
