Box Score OTTAWA, ON – Going into the match undefeated and ranked 10th in the country, the Durham Lords suffered their first loss of the season in nation's capital on Saturday.
The Algonquin Wolves struck first in the 15th minute to take an early lead. In the 32nd minute, Jordan Blades-McHenry scored her second of the match to give the hosts a 2-0 lead.
Algonquin scored in the 66th minute as the now-OCAA leader in goals completed the hat trick. Erika Bjorgum (Kingman, AB) put the Lords on the board in the 68th minute with her eighth goal of the season.
Nikki Bradshaw (Newtonville, ON) was tested with six shots on target in the match, turning three aside.
With only one match left on their regular season schedule, the Lords will travel to North York on Tuesday to take on the Seneca Sting in a battle of two nationally ranked programs.
