OSHAWA, ON - The Durham Lords men's volleyball team have back-to-back sweeps with a win over the Canadore Panthers in three sets.
The first two sets saw identical 25-16 results in the hosts favour. In the third set, Canadore battled back and tried to force a fourth set, but the Lords were too strong - winning 25-22 to complete the sweep and win their second match in a row.
William Egan (Cobden, ON) had eight kills for the Lords, while Tyler Jegen (Calgary, AB) and Carter Reid (Oshawa, ON) both posted six each. Kyle Travis (Courtice, ON) earned 23 of Durham's 28 assists, with Jegen adding a trio of assists and Egan and Jacques Tournadre (Milton, ON) pitched in one.
Durham had a total of eight service aces to Canadore's two, with Jegen and Egan each serving three aces. Michael Penney (Whitby, ON) was a force at the net, recording seven blocked shots on the night.
The Lords return to the court on Tuesday evening as Durham hosts the Seneca Sting at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre at 8:00 PM.
