OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham Lords women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 victory over the Loyalist Lancers on Thursday night to open their OCAA season.
 
Mia Hildebrandt (Winnipeg, Man.) led the Lords scoring with five kills and six aces, while Katie Stewart (Gananoque, Ont.) finished with a match-high six kills to lead Durham.
 
Jill Batsford (Kington, Ont.) and Brooke Young (Chestermere, Alta.) ran the offence with nine and seven assists respectively.  
 
Defensively Aislinn Pedersen (Hamilton, Ont.) earned nine digs, while Stewart had four blocks alongside her eight digs. Hildebrandt had a match-high five blocks to lead the Lords at the net.
 
Durham will have the remainder of the week off before heading to Peterborough next Thursday night. The match will be available to be viewed on OCAA LIVE.
