OSHAWA, Ont. - As fans were welcomed back to the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre, the Durham Lords earned their first win of the OCAA season with a 79-61 victory over the Seneca Sting.
 
The first quarter saw Durham record their largest single quarter point total of the OCAA season with 32 points, including 12 coming from 
Onika Leveridge (Scarborough, ON) where she shot 6-for-8.
 
Marie Stasiuk (Cobourg, ON) led the way for the Lords with 23 points, seven rebounds and three assists in the game.
 
Durham dominated across the board from beginning to end, including a commanding 23-point lead on the scoreboard in the final minute of the third quarter. Seneca turned the ball over 21 times, which directly contributed to 20 points for the Lords.
 
Taesia Pinnock (Pickering, ON) registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the contest.
 
With the victory on Friday evening, the Lords have won five consecutive meetings against the Sting, dating back to Nov. 2, 2018.
 
The Lords are back in action on Sunday as the team makes the trip to Toronto to meet the undefeated Humber Hawks.
