NORTH BAY, ON – Durham's undefeated streak came to an end on Sunday in a five-set meeting in North Bay at Canadore College against the Panthers.
The Lords took the first set 25-21 before the Panthers replied by winning the second and third sets. With the match on the line, Durham was able to force a winner take all fifth set but fell short 15-5 and lost the match 3-2.
Quinton Hudgins (Port Perry, ON) and
Harrison Wood (Uxbridge, ON) were the team leaders with 12.0 points each in the match, recording 11 and 10 kills respectively.
Aidan Carne (Stoney Creek, ON) reached double digit kills for the first time in his career as well.
Tyler Jegen (Calgary, AB) and
Kyle Travis (Courtice, ON) had similar stat lines as Jegen recorded 19 assists and eight digs, while Travis registered 18 assists and eight digs.
Durham will look to bounce back on Wednesday evening in Barrie as the team makes the trip to Georgian College to take on the Grizzlies.
