NORTH BAY, ON – Durham College wrap up a perfect weekend with another win on Sunday afternoon in North Bay, defeating the Canadore Panthers in five sets.
Entering their third regular season match, the Lords had not dropped a set to date, and continued that dominance through the first two sets, defeating Canadore 25-22 and 25-21.
It was in the third set, however, that the Panthers pulled off a 26-24 victory over Durham in a back-and-forth affair, and then forced a fifth set by squeaking out a 25-23 score line in the fourth set.
With it all on the line in the fifth, Durham came out on top 15-11 and ultimately extended their undefeated streak to three games.
Mia Hildebrandt (Winnipeg, MB) registered 12 kills and five blocks, while
Katie Stewart (Gananoque, ON) recorded 11 kills on 50 total attack attempts.
Amanda Larsen (Toronto, ON) led the team in blocks with seven and
Brooke Young (Chestermere, AB) picked up 36 assists.
The Lords will be back in action on Wednesday as they will be in Barrie to take on the Georgian Grizzlies.
