Toronto, ON – A dominant first half from the Lords propelled Durham to a 22-point win in Toronto over the George Brown Huskies.
Durham came out of the gates strong, dropping 20 points in the first half while holding the Huskies to single digits. The second quarter was a similar story as the Lords took a 4
3-20 lead into the halftime break.
The second half was a little more back and forth, but the Huskies could not chip away at their deficit and the Lords left Toronto with a 76-54 win.
Onika Leveridge (Scarborough, ON) led the team with 23 points, eight rebounds and three steals in 35 minutes of play.
Taesia Pinnock (Pickering, ON) posted a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Glory Ezeude (Vaughan, ON) hit her first OCAA basket with a solid baseline drive.
In what can only be described as a tremendous team effort, the Lords picked up their second conference win of the season.
