ETOBICOKE, ON – The Durham Lords women's rugby team shut out three opponents on Sunday to finish the first weekend of the 2022 OCAA season with a 6-0 record.
 
After shutting out two opponents on Saturday, the Lords opened the second day of opening weekend with a 34-0 win over the St. Lawrence Surge. On Saturday, the Surge were undefeated with two wins and a draw.
 
Later in the day, Durham prepared for tough contest against an Algonquin Wolves team that had one win, one loss and one draw the day prior, but the Lords dominated on the pitch to a 46-0 win.
 
Durham would end the weekend against the host Humber Hawks, defeating them 41-0.
 
After opening weekend, the Lords sit atop the OCAA standings with a 6-0 record – accumulating 183 points for and only five points against.
 
The next weekend series will take place in Oshawa at Thompson Rugby Park on the first weekend of October. See below for the full schedule.
