OTTAWA, Ont. - The Durham College men's rugby team made the trip to the nation's capital with their sights set on improving to .500 - a feat that proved successful as the Lords beat the Algonquin Wolves 52-13.
Durham struck first in the 13th minute, with Dylan MacLean-Henry scoring the try and successfully Owen MacKinnon kicking the convert. That would be his first of six converts on the afternoon.
Both sides traded off scores throughout the first half hour before the Lords exploded after the 39th minute, starting with Connor Martin's second try of the game followed by scores from Sebatian Bonk, Tre Connell, Caleb McEleney and Rocco Caringi.
The Lords have built themselves a two-game winning streak heading into the final game of the season on Saturday, October 19 against the Seneca Sting at 1:00 PM. The day at Thompson Rugby Park will also feature the annual graduating seniors ceremony.
