SCARBOROUGH, Ont. - The Durham Lords men's basketball team continued their impressive run this season, securing a dominant 81-67 win over the Centennial Colts on Wednesday night to improve to 8-0 on the season.
Durham's offensive execution was on full display as the team shot an impressive 48.6% from the field. Their dominance in the paint was evident, scoring 66 of their 81 points close to the basket. The Lords also out-rebounded Centennial 45-39, with key contributions from Javade Marne and Rashane Smith, who combined for 14 rebounds.
Defensively, the Lords held the Colts to 35.1% shooting and forced 22 turnovers, converting those into 22 points. Durham's defensive effort was anchored by their seven blocks and 11 steals, which disrupted Centennial's offensive flow throughout the game.
Marne was a standout performer, leading the Lords with 21 points on 10-of-14 shooting, while adding seven rebounds and three steals.
Miles Hall contributed 18 points, shooting 9-for-17 from the field, adding five assists and three rebounds. Smith also delivered a solid outing with 11 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks, providing a consistent presence on both ends of the court.
The Lords will look to carry their momentum into Saturday when they travel to St. Lawrence to take on the Surge at 3:00 PM.
