OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham Lords put on a show in front of their home crowd, rolling to an impressive 97-79 victory over the Centennial Colts.
Mark Stoop was the centre piece of Durham's effort, finishing with a remarkable stat line of 18 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds, four steals and three blocks. His ability to impact the game in multiple facets, set the tone for the Lords' all-around performance.
Jasean Elliott was another standout for Durham, tallying 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting while grabbing three rebounds and dishing out five assists.
Miles Hall provided a spark with 15 points, four rebounds, and five assists. Hall was active defensively with three steals, further demonstrating Durham's ability to disrupt Centennial's offensive flow. Javade Marne added 12 points and three steals, converting six of his nine shot attempts to provide steady scoring.
Rudy Fakih chipped in 12 points, making it six players on the night who scored in double-digit territory for the Lords.
Durham's offence was fuelled by a balanced attack, with 31 total assists contributing to their 51.9% shooting from the field. The Lords scored 60 points in the paint, showcasing their dominance inside and ability to create high-percentage opportunities.
On the boards, Glodi Kashala anchored the Lords with 10 rebounds, including nine on the defensive end, while adding four points and two blocks.Â
The team collectively recorded 40 rebounds, limiting second-chance opportunities for the Colts.Â
Durham's defence was equally impressive, registering nine blocks and 16 steals to force Centennial into 19 turnovers, which resulted in 25 points off turnovers for the Lords.
The Lords will play their final home game of the regular season schedule this Friday at 8:00 PM against the St. Lawrence Surge for senior's night.
