43-point victory keeps Lords unbeaten

OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham Lords continued their perfect season with a dominant 93-50 victory over the St. Lawrence Surge at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.

Caleb Carter led Durham's balanced attack with 14 points, contributing seven assists, three rebounds and two steals. His aggressive play on both ends of the court helped set the tone for the Lords, particularly in a second quarter where they scored 34 points.

Max Voorpool added another 14 points, making five of his nine shots, including three from beyond the arc. Voorpool also collected three rebounds and provided a crucial spark during Durham's second-quarter surge.

Jasean Elliott was a key playmaker and scorer, finishing with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting, while also grabbing five rebounds and dishing out six assists. Rashane Smith was highly efficient, scoring 11 points, adding two blocks and a steal.

Glodi Kashala provided an inside presence with seven points and six rebounds, while Mark Stoop delivered 12 points, seven rebounds, and three steals, dominating in the paint.

Durham's defence was suffocating, holding St. Lawrence to just 23.3% shooting from the field. The Lords forced 20 turnovers, recorded 13 steals, and blocked 10 shots, preventing their opponents from ever establishing an offensive rhythm.

Zachary Morris added to the defensive effort with three blocks and two steals, while Rudy Fakih controlled the tempo with eight assists and seven rebounds.

The Lords excelled in transition and in the paint, scoring 52 points near the basket and converting turnovers into 25 points.

Despite a quieter fourth quarter offensively, Durham maintained a significant lead, at one point stretching their advantage to 47 points late in the third.

Durham are back in action on Tuesday in Barrie against the Georgian Grizzlies at 8:00 PM.
