OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham Lords are heading back to the semifinal round of the OCAA championship for the second straight season after an impressive 98-87 victory over the Mohawk Mountaineers.

The Lords set the tone early, jumping out to a 56-41 lead at halftime and never looking back as they punched their ticket to the championship weekend.

Durham's defence was relentless, forcing 26 turnovers and recording 17 steals. Their ability to convert turnovers into 32 points proved to be a major difference in the game. Durham also controlled the paint, outscoring Mohawk 46-28 inside and securing 17 offensive rebounds to create second-chance opportunities.

Despite Mohawk's attempt to rally in the third quarter, Durham maintained control and extended their lead to as much as 17 points. The Lords shot 48.1% from the field and outpaced Mohawk's defensive efforts with their efficient ball movement, totalling 24 assists on 37 made baskets.

Miles Hall delivered a dominant offensive performance, leading all scorers with 29 points. Hall knocked down three three-pointers and added four assists and three steals, providing a steady presence throughout the game.

Rudy Fakih was another key contributor, finishing with 22 points while hitting three shots from beyond the arc and converting seven of his ten free throws. Fakih also grabbed nine rebounds and added four assists, helping to fuel Durham's offensive attack.

Mark Stoop was a force on both ends of the floor, recording a double-double with 13 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, and six steals. Stoop also protected the rim with four blocks, making life difficult for Mohawk's interior scorers. Rashane Smith added six points, four rebounds, three assists, and a block while contributing to Durham's defensive efforts.
