OSHAWA, Ont. - The women's rugby roster continues to take shape as Durham College is excited to announce the addition of Natalia Quesnel.
The Little Britain, Ontario native joins the Lords for 2026-27 and will begin her studies in the Massage Therapy program this fall.
Quesnel arrives with experience from the Oshawa Vikings and Lindsay Rugby Football Club, where she earned Rookie of the Year honours, and from her time competing in lacrosse with Ontario Tech University. At 5-foot-3, she brings a tenacious presence to the field and a strong understanding of team culture.
"Natalia brings a great mix of athleticism, toughness and enthusiasm to our program," said Head Coach Chris McKee. "She's already shown an ability to learn and grow through her experiences in multiple sports, and those qualities will serve her well at the collegiate level. We believe she'll be a great fit for our environment and we're excited to welcome her to the Lords family."
A memorable moment in her rugby career came when she stepped into a new role. She recalled the first time she played flanker after switching from inside centre, a turning point that helped her find where she belongs on the pitch. That versatility and willingness to adapt are qualities she now brings to the Lords program.
Academics played a significant role in Quesnel's decision to choose Durham College. She was drawn to the Massage Therapy program and the opportunity to pursue a hands-on education while continuing her athletic career. The combination of a strong academic path and a competitive rugby environment made Durham the right fit.
With a background that includes both rugby and lacrosse, Quesnel adds depth and athleticism to a talented Lords lineup. She is eager to contribute on and off the field, embracing the team-first mentality that defines Durham College Athletics.
