Rankin, a web design student, was named to the all-tournament team at the inaugural National College Baseball Championship over the weekend in Oshawa. He helped the Durham College men’s baseball team reach the semifinal, which they lost to the eventual tournament champion Fanshawe Falcons. In the Lords 4-1 victory over Holland College on Friday night, to lock up a spot in the semifinal, he was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run. In their opening victory of the tournament, 2-0 over Humber, he was also 1-for-3 with a run.
