Harper, a marketing and promotions major, had a season-high night for Durham as the Lords clinched their spot in the OCAA men's volleyball championship by defeating Loyalist 3-1. He tied his season-high of 15 points in a match, which he has only bested once in his career with 16 against the Canadore Panthers on Feb. 7, 2016. Against the Lancers on Thursday, he finished with eight kills, an ace and a career-high six blocks.

Both volleyball teams will now prepare for their final home game of the season on Feb. 12 against the Canadore Panthers. The graduating seniors from both teams will be recognized during a short ceremony.

The Durham College athlete of the week awards are presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
